First of all, I'd love to give a super big thankful-shout-out to Alex Hernandez, a super amazing photographer and awesome person who knows how to make me look like I actually know what I'm doing, when I never do ^_^ His FB: [link]
Second, I had such a blast at Supercon! Thank you to everyone who took a photo with me or spoke with me or interacted with me at all throughout all 4 days of the con; it was so much fun meeting EVERYONE EVER and your support is SO appreciated! I didn't get sick once at the convention! CHALLENGE COMPLETE!
on Friday I actually somehow managed to be awarded Crossplay King, which is best female crossplaying as a male character. Thank you so much judges, once again I feel undeserving, but, oh wow, I never thought I'd actually have a trophy sitting in my house. I still don't believe it!
All of the days seem like a blur now, but my biggest memories were of all the cosplay contests, the dance off on Sunday (which I will be uploading videos of to youtube), karaoke on Monday ( [link] ), and just everything inbetween. Thank you so much to , James, and of course my parents for escorting me every step of the way, helping me with my props, and taking photos/video. A HUGE thank you to for hosting such amazing panels and being an excellent and fun loving judge in all the competitions. You always know how to rock a convention. Steven Guillen, you are the bestest deadpool cosplayer EVER. Not only because of your costume but your enthusiasm and your personality fits like a perfect T with the character. I hope we get to hang out more in the future because you are an amazing person on all parts. Stay classy bro Thank you also to , , , , for hanging out with me! It was great to see all of you lovely ladies again and I can't wait to see you all again in the future!
Another also, this is my first photo that shows off some of the upgrades to my costume. New armbands/arm guard, modified boots, "chain mail" and more golden accents to my sheathe. Yay!
Other convention photos can be found on my FB: [link] Thanks for viewing!
Derp, I was the SS Zelda wandering around the con! I'm sorry I never got to talk to you! Really, you make an awesome little Link! I remember one of my friends was drooling over you and your outfit on Friday! Really, your costume was perfect!
Also, you totally had me fooled. I was absolutely convinced you were a boy up until I read the description here. >.> You definitely deserved crossplay king! XD
ZELDA-SAMA O_O You were sooo super awesomazingtastic ohmigosh! Don't be sorry, Saturday was hectic as hell for all cosplayers XD So much to do, so much to see, so little time! You are a GORGEOUS Zelda and your craftsmanship truly shined in your cosplay; you so deserved the award in the competition and congratulations again!!
also oh god really? ;////; I'm honored to hear of such praise! There's still a lot to work on, I'm actually planning on doing a new tunic and hat from scratch with a different fabric that will breathe and give more and appear less stiff; but that's a bit far ahead of time in plans right now ^_^' And wow thank you so much ^_^ I'm happy to hear it's convincing! 90% of the convention I feel like I'm doing it wrong haha D: I don't know how to walk like a guy, gesture like a guy, and sitting like one is still a challenge because it's uncomfortable. srsly how do they do it D:
Oh, thanks! And yeah, tell me about it - Saturday's like THE day for just about any con. XD Really, thanks - that means a lot! Truthfully, I never expected it, there were some really kickass entries!
Are you kidding, your costume looked amazing! I bet it'll look even more fantastic with your improvements in the future! But as it is now, it still looks amazing! :3 Definitely had me convinced, and I'm pretty sure you had my other friends convinced as well. XD As for how they do it, it's... well, it's a guy thing, I suppose.
Congratz
